WiFi frequent disconnections

In the last month I've experience so many disconnections of the WiFi that it is almost impossible to work and had to ask my neighbour if I could use his WiFi during work calls.  Can you please check if there is a problem on the network or with my line and fix it as soon as possible please?  Grateful if you could please revert soon as I'm using internet for work and cannot continue using my neighbour's WiFi for long.

I just checked your internet line and I see no instability or signal loss. The levels are correct as well. 

 

We could try a small adjustment that involves splitting your Wi-Fi connection into "two networks": the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and the 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Currently, they are grouped together and your devices automatically connect to one of the two. Separating them would allow you to manually choose the best connection for each device based on the situation (5 GHz connection for devices close to the modem and 2.4 GHz connection for others). 

 

If the problem is only with the Wi-Fi, it is possible that you may need to install powerline adapters, for example, especially if the problem occurs when you move away from the modem. Please feel free to inform us a bit more about the actual situation at your home: one or more affected devices, close to or not to the modem (different rooms, etc).

Many thanks!  This can happen at any moment and irrespective of whether i'm close to the router or not. I don't think the problem is only the WiFi, the network seems to disappear and then comes back a few minutes later.  Since the network disappears, all the devices are affected, regardless of where they are.

@francescobxl  Thank you for the clarification. Would you like me to make the modification for the Wi-Fi (separate 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi) through your modem's interface to test if the problem remains the same?

I would like to know what is the main reasons for such frequent disconnections. How could splitting the network help?

@francescobxl On our side, we see no instability or signal issues, so I cannot explain where the connection problems are coming from. This may be due to the position of the modem and its environment (placed in an open and airy location or in a cabinet, near a mirror, ...). I invite you to read our article VOO assistance on this subject. 

 

I do not confirm 100% that this division will solve the problem, but you will be able to manually choose the wifi of your choice based on your location in your home (prefer the 5 GHz wifi close to the modem, as its range is shorter but much stronger in terms of power).
